FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I verify product quality?
With our commitment to the quality of each product, Superior Molecular provides access to third-party testing results that are designed to allow you to make a more informed purchase decision when considering where to source your tinctures, vape cartridges, and water-soluble products.
Do you lab test your products?
Our products undergo a full panel of independent third-party testing to ensure they contain the correct amounts and types of cannabinoids. These tests affirm that our company does leave any residual solvents, pesticides, or heavy metals giving the consumer the confidence they require in order to enjoy the products without worrying about possible side effects! You'll find these results here on this page titled "Third Party Testing Results."

What is CO2 extraction and how does it work?
CO2 is the cleanest method of cannabinoid extraction. It ensures the lack-of harmful residual solvents in end products and gives us the ability to recollect bulk CO2 after each run making the process environmentally conscious. We take pride in consumer safety from this solvent selection and always make consistent strides to take care of the world around us.
CO2 extraction allows to separate terpenes from crude cannabis oil, which then gives us the ability to re-introduce these terpenes directly back into consumer products for maximum efficacy.
What does ‘full spectrum’ mean?
Consumers are often left feeling uncertain about which CBD product will provide them with the most benefits. There is currently an abundance of options offered, making it difficult and confusing to understand exactly what they're putting into their bodies. This confusion can lead to ineffective experiences and results for the consumer.
The term “full-spectrum” is used in the cannabis industry to differentiate CBD extracts that have different levels of refinement. Full spectrum products will contain all natural cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, CBDV, CBC, THC-A OR D9 THC and terpenes. Our ability to cold separate terpenes and incorporate them back into the full panel of cannabinoids allows our products to stand out amongst our competitors.
Broad Spectrum Distillate is created by removing D9-THC from the full spectrum oil. These products still maintain many of the benefits of full spectrum oils because they're balanced out overall with other cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, CBDV and CBC.
Full-spectrum products are often associated with something called the “entourage effect” – this refers to the theory of increased effectiveness of these products due to the variety of cannabinoids working synergistically with terpenes to engage your cannabinoid receptors.
Products that are isolate-derived will only contain the isolated CBD molecule (99%+ pure CBD) or 99%+ CBG, CBN for example. This can be useful for users who desire a very high dose of a specific cannabinoid. These isolates allow us to put more cannabinoids in the same volumetric amount of product.
What are the differences between CBD Distillate and Winterized Crude Oil?
Through the fractional distillation of our oil, we can separate out unwanted compounds with little or no current documented therapeutic value. These include residual solvents, pigments like chlorophyll and azulene to oxidized cannabinoids and terpenes that have degraded over time in old crop material which allows us to make a more potent final product without any undesired constituents being included. We then reintroduce strain-specific terpenes back again resulting in full spectrum CBD extractions, so you know exactly what you’re getting at each stage.
With so many products on the market today, it can be difficult to know what is worth your time and money. For example some sellers might label their product as "full spectrum" when in fact they are using another less refined form of CBD extract known as winterized crude oil which still contains moderate - high levels of cannabinoid but could also contain degraded cannabinoids, terpenes along with residual solvents or undesirable plant molecules.
How many milligrams of CBD do I need per day?
Everyone is different when it comes to what cannabinoid regimen works best for them and their Endocannabinoid System. Although we believe micro-dosing is less effective overall, starting with small doses and increasing incrementally as you monitor how your body responds should provide the most optimal, repeatable experience.
We highly encourage you to keep a running journal or brief notes detailing your experience with different products and dosages, especially if you are just beginning to incorporate CBD into your daily routine. Information is power, and the better you understand your body’s natural response to cannabinoid products, the easier it will be to identify dosages that give you the best results.
